Born in Orange County California to Jack and Dianne Foster, Jackie and her mother moved to Marion, IA when she was 4. She attended school at Indian Creek Elementary from K-4th, then moved to the Anamosa area in 1980. She attended 5th and 6th grades at Viola Elementary in Viola.

Jackie started at Young’s Cosmetology College the summer before her senior year in high school (June 1987), then graduated in January of 1988 from Anamosa High School. She put cosmetology on hold and moved to Davenport in May of 1988 to attend the American Institute of College (now known as Kaplan University) for Fashion Merchandising and Account Management, and graduated in June of 1989. She completed 4 years of art training from the Art Instructions Schools (Minneapolis, MN) from 1987 – 1991. When Jackie's former husband was deployed to Korea, she went back to Cosmetology College and completed 1800 hours and passed the Cosmetology Board in North Carolina. She attended Kirkwood Community College for Paramedic Specialist and Basic Accounting from 2000 – 2003. Jackie says, "You could say I like to learn what I can about what I like, and then run with it."

Jackie is proud of her 3 amazing children, Ashly (21), Aaron (19) and Alisin (17), and her beautiful granddaughter, Tiernyn Jacquelyn (known as TJ), born in August 2009.

Jackie started working for St. Patrick Church in January 2005 and has also worked for the school since July 2008, and says she wouldn’t trade it for the world. Jackie says, "The kids are awesome and I love being able to talk to them and joke around. Nothing beats the feeling I get when I’m out and about and I hear someone yelling my name, or running up to me, and it's one of St Pat’s kids. It’s AMAZING!"

In her spare time, Jackie enjoys spending time on the Internet searching for her ancestors, or doing genealogy for other folks as well. Her hobby is simply “BARBIE.” She explains, "I love everything about the doll, as far as what she stands for. She is an independent female who promotes being able to do ANYTHING you want. To her there are “NO LIMITS” to what a young person can accomplish. "Shoot for the stars!" “Be Who You Want to Be” “I can do ANYTHING” are some of the quotes you will find when dealing in Barbies! What more could a girl ask for??"
