Fifth and Sixth Grades

Mrs. Kathy Morrison, Teacher [Grades 3-6 Math]

Mrs. Morrison graduated from Mt. Mercy College in 1993 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education including a Reading Endorsement.  After substitute teaching in schools throughout Linn County, and teaching comprehension, organization and study skills, among all other subjects for 3 years at Sylvan Learning, she came to St. Patrick School in 1999.  Mrs. Morrison has been teaching 5th and 6th grades ever since.  Beside the 5th and 6th grade curriculum, Mrs. Morrison also works to prepare students for life-long learning by integrating technology extensively in her classroom and implementing organizational skills.  Mrs. Morrison has become one of the school's technology leaders by studying in a two-year Technology Integration Mentorship Program through Grant Wood AEA in Cedar Rapids, and attending archdiocesan technology training sessions offered through AEA 267 in Cedar Fals. She also serves on the school's Technology Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and her grandchildren.
